MORE RUNNERS = MORE FUN!
We run training programs throughout the year to offer camaraderie, structure, skill-building clinics, and support to runners and walkers of all levels.
These coached programs include individual instruction; group runs; custom training plans; seminars on stretching, nutrition, cross-training, and form; race preparation and support; and a lot of fun!
The classes run for four to 16 weeks. Most are directed toward specific goal races.
2013 training classes
Half-Marathon Run Club; $100 for five-race series; $75 for three-race series; $50 for single race. Team half-marathon series includes group training meet-ups, a special custom item for each race (a technical shirt, a pair of arm warmers, a run cap, and more special items), and a series necklace for series finishers. Goal races are Shamrock'n Half on Sunday, March 17, in Sacramento; San Francisco Rock n Roll on Sunday, April 7; Jungle Run on Sunday, July 14 in Los Gatos; Half Moon Bay Half on Sunday, Sept. 29, in Princeton; and the Big Sur Half Marathon on Sunday, November 17. Summer Trail Running Class; starts May 7; $100. 10-week program training for the Table Rock trail 27K (or 10K) on Sunday, July 21, at Stinson Beach in Marin County. Coaches are Kim, Justin, and Natalie. Meets Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sign up now!
Fall Half-Marathon Class; starts July 23; $100. 12-week program of twice-weekly coached group runs training for the Nike Women's Half-Marathon in San Francisco on Oct. 20 or the San Jose Rock n Roll Half Marathon on Oct. 6. A limited number of entries to the Nike race will be available to training group members only. Meets Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sign up now!
Fall No Boundaries Beginners Running Class; starts in August; $100. 12-week program training for the Race against PH at Stanford. Coaches are Jim and Lisa. Meets Mondays and Saturdays.
Resolution Runners 10K class; starts October 29; $75. 7-week program training for the Resolution Run on January 1 in Carmel. Coaches: Jim and Lisa.
As well, our Thursday fun runs meet every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The free, drop-in group runs varying 3- to 4-mile routes around Menlo Park and Atherton.
