MORE RUNNERS = MORE FUN!
We run training programs throughout the year to offer camaraderie, structure, skill-building clinics, and support to runners and walkers of all levels.
These coached programs include individual instruction; group runs; custom training plans; seminars on stretching, nutrition, cross-training, and form; race preparation and support; and a lot of fun!
The classes run for four to 18 weeks. Most are directed toward specific goal races. Announcing: Our 2015 training classes, yay!
2015 TRAINING CLASSES
Spring Marathon Class: Big Sur
Starts March 3; $125.This is an 8-week extension program for athletes already training for the marathon distance and already putting in 30 miles or more a week. The goal race is the Big Sur International Marathon April 26 in Carmel. Some race entries to the sold-out Big Sur Marathon available. Meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 a.m. March 3–April 26. Learn more and sign up here.
Half-n-Half Run Club
Starts February 24; $150**. 12 weeks of half-marathon distance training. For runners already comfortable with 5+ miles. Goal races: SF Rock n Roll March 29 and Capitola Half Marathon May 17. NoBo 5K Getting Started Running
Starts February 4; $150* 13-week class for reentry or beginning runners. Distances start at 1 mile and build by no more than 10 percent each week. Goal race is Big Bear 5K in Menlo Park May 3. Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. February 4–May 3. Learn more and sign up here.
Starts May 13; $150. 10-week program for new trail runners, training for Angel Island 12K race on July 25. Meets Wednesdays and Saturdays. May 13–July 25. Learn more and sign up here.
Half-Marathon Trail Class
Starts May 19; $150***. 12-week program for Crystal Springs half-marathon trail race August 9 in Huddart Park. Training routes on trails. Meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. May 19–August 9. Read more and sign up here.
Thrills & Skills: Hit your 10K PR
Starts June 2; $100. A six-week intensive of track and hill training to improve skills and speed. Goal race is the Jungle Run 10K on July 12 in Los Gatos. June 2–July 12. Learn more and sign up here.
Getting Started Skills Class
Starts June 17; $100***. 6-week class training focusing on form and fundamentals. Appropriate for beginning and intermediate runners; must be able to run 1 mile. Meets Wednesdays & Saturdays. June 17-July 25.
Fall Marathon Class
Starts July 14; $150. 12-week program training for the Portland Marathon on Oct. 4 in Oregon. For runners already comfortable with 8+-mile distance. Meets Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. & Saturdays 7/8 a.m. July 14–October 4.
Fall Nike Half-Marathon Class
Starts August 11; $175. 10-week program training for Nike Women's Half in SF Oct. 18. A limited number of entries to NWHM will be available. Meets Tuesdays and Saturdays. August 11–October 18. More info here.
Skyline to the Sea: Trail Marathon Class
Starts August 11; $150***. 9-week program training for Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail Marathon on October 10 in Los Gatos. For experienced trail runners comfortable with 10+ mile trail runs. Training routes on trails on weekends and on roads/track on weekdays. Meets Tuesdays and Saturdays. August 11–October 10.
NoBo 5K Getting Started Running
Starts August 19; $150***. 11-week class training for the Ghost Run 5K Oct. 31. Meets Wednesdays and Saturdays. August 19–October 31.

As well, our Thursday fun runs meet every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The free, drop-in group runs vary from 3- to 6-mile routes around Menlo Park and Atherton.
