Training groups
MORE RUNNERS = MORE FUN!

We run training programs throughout the year to offer camaraderie, structure, skill-building clinics, and support to runners and walkers of all levels.
These coached programs include individual instruction; group runs; custom training plans; seminars on stretching, nutrition, cross-training, and form; race preparation and support; and a lot of fun!
The classes run for four to 16 weeks. Most are directed toward specific goal races.
2012 training classes
Big Sur Marathon class; starts January 10; $150. 16-week program training for the Big Sur marathon on Sunday, April 29. For first time as well as experienced marathoners. Coaches: Kim and Megan.
Half marathon class; starts January 17; $75. 8-week program training for the Shamrock’n half marathon on Sunday, March 11, in Sacramento. Coaches: Rachelle A. and Jim.
Thrills and skills: Speed class; starts January 24; $50. 4-week program of drills and interval training to build speed. Meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. Coaches: Kurt and Carlos.
Presidio 10K class; starts January 24; $100. 11-week program training for the Presidio 10K race on Sunday, April 15, in San Francisco. This race goes across the Golden Gate Bridge! Coaches: Lisa R. and Lisa T.
Getting started running 5K class; starts January 30; $100. 12-week program training for the Big Bear 5K on Sunday, May 6. Meets Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 8:15 a.m. For newcomers to running and reentry runners. Program builds slowly. Coaches: Richelle Dishno and Lisa Tags. Sign up!

Trail running class; starts April 24; $100. 12-week program training for the Stinson Beach 25K trail race on July 22. This group will meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Friday mornings at 9 a.m., with a Saturday option at 8 a.m. (joining the other training groups). Coaches: Justin and Kim.
SF half marathon class; starts May 1; $100. 12-week program training for the San Francisco half marathon on Sunday, July 29. Coaches: Jim and Lisa R.

Half-marathon class; starts July 24; $100. 12-week program training for the Nike Women’s half on October 14 in SF or the San Jose Rock n Roll on October 7. Coaches: Rachelle and Lisa Tags
Getting started running 5K class; starts August 7; $100. 12-week program training for the Race against PH on Sunday, November 4, on the Stanford campus. For newcomers and reentry runners.

Fall marathon class; starts August 7; $150. 16-week program training for the California International Marathon in Sacramento or the Las Vegas International Marathon, both on Sunday, December 2. Coaches: Kim and Lisa R.
Resolution Runners 10K class; starts October 9; $100. 12-week program training for the Resolution Run on Sunday, January 1, in Carmel. Coaches: Jim and Lisa Tags.

As well, our Thursday fun runs meet every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The free, drop-in group runs varying 3- to 4-mile routes around Menlo Park and Atherton.
Worm Gettas is the Fleet Feet Menlo trail runners group. We meet at 8 a.m. on Saturdays at varying park locations.
