MORE RUNNERS = MORE FUN!
We run training programs throughout the year to offer camaraderie, structure, skill-building clinics, and support to runners and walkers of all levels.
These coached programs include individual instruction; group runs; custom training plans; seminars on stretching, nutrition, cross-training, and form; race preparation and support; and a lot of fun! The classes run for four to 18 weeks. Most are directed toward specific goal races.
2019 TRAINING CLASSES
Off the Couch
Starts January 9; $75.
A short program to jumpstart your fitness! This monthlong class is designed for true beginners. We'll cover fitness fundamentals from warm-ups, strength drills, running form, and endurance training. Cardio workouts will include walk/run intervals. Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.; classes last 45 minutes. January 9—February 2. Sign up
A Perfect 10: Train for the Presidio 10 Mile
Starts January 22; $200.
A 12-week program training for the Presidio 10 Mile on April 14 in San Francisco. We'll start the new year with a fitness plan, building up strength for this hilly race. The class meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. January 22—April 14. Sign up
Getting Started Running: Train for your First 5K
Starts February 27; $200.
Train to run your first 5K race. This 10-week program is designed for beginning and reentry runners. We'll build endurance bit by bit up to our goal, the Big Bear 5K on May 5 in Menlo Park. The class meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. February 27—May 5. Sign up.
Spring Half: Train for the Capitola Half Marathon
Starts April 16; $100.
A five-week program designed as an extension to the Presidio training or for runners already comfortable with the 10 mile distance. This short program will target the Capitola Half Marathon on May 19. Class meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. April 16—May 19. Sign up.
Running is more fun with Fleet Feet!
As well, our Thursday fun runs meet every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The free, drop-in group runs vary from 3- to 6-mile routes around Menlo Park and Atherton.
